To celebrate Eid al-Ait, QAZAQ AIR employees launched a charity campaign. Employees of the company provided assistance to 120 elderly people of the Amara Hospice in the capital, those in need of social assistance and 3 low-income families. The list of families in need of assistance was provided by the Astana Akimat.
As part of this charity event special orthopedic mattresses, personal hygiene products for hospice patients and various foodstuffs were purchased.
Gulmira Shoraevna Knyazbekova, Director of Amara Hospice:
– The hospice provides skilled care and pain management, and provides palliative medical and psychological assistance to its patients and their families, both during their illness and after the loss of a loved one. There are now 120 people in the hospice’s care. We receive funding from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund. However, the allocated funds are not enough to maintain the hospice and the patients. We have to buy medicines, consumables and food ourselves. Therefore we accept any help with great gratitude.
The patients at the hospice are very appreciative of the time they have left to live. They welcome every guest, running out of the rooms and welcoming them with a big smile on their face. They are happy to feel the love and care of others. They greatly appreciate the human attitude and sympathy.
“The joys they have are not few, only they are different from those of healthy people. A patient has lived another day – joy, they have been able to talk to their children and grandchildren – joy, they have seen in the window how the sun rises – joy, they have talked to new people – also joy. So, they waited for you with impatience. We believe that there are many kind-hearted people in the world who are willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. On behalf of the hospice team we thank you for your sensitivity, responsiveness and help” – said Gulmira Knyazbekova.
Patients of hospice and families with many children with joy and great gratitude met the airline employees, were happy to share their life stories and wished prosperity, success and health to every employee of QAZAQ AIR.
Everyone can do good deeds and make others and themselves happier. Moreover, for this you need very little: to be more attentive to people, smile to them, make their life easier and more pleasant at least in trifles.
