Starting June 30, 2025, new entry rules will take effect in Russia for all foreign nationals, including citizens of Kazakhstan.
Biometric data collection (fingerprints and facial image) will become mandatory at all border crossing points into the Russian Federation.
Even under the visa-free regime, foreign nationals will be required to register in advance through the Unified Identification and Authentication System (ESIA) and submit a travel notification via a dedicated mobile app.
These changes are part of the second stage of the entry/exit control pilot project, introduced under Russian Government Decree No. 1510, dated November 7, 2024.
We strongly recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before departure to allow enough time for registration and biometric procedures. Please ensure that the required form is submitted no later than 72 hours before your flight via the official government services app.
