Head of QAZAQ AIR Yerkin Nauryzbayev has left his post

On 29 February 2024, Yerkin Nauryzbayev completed his activity as Chairman of the Board of QAZAQ AIR JSC.

Yerkin Anesovich Nauryzbayev had been the head of QAZAQ AIR since 9 September 2022. He was the first Kazakhstani aviation specialist to head a domestic airline. Yerkin Nauryzbaev has 19 years of aviation experience and is a commander and instructor of the De-Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.

During his tenure as Chairman of the Management Board, the airline was twice ranked among the top three best regional airlines in Central Asia by the prestigious Skytrax international aviation rating. In 2023, the airline carried more than 588,000 passengers on five De-Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, which is a record in the airline’s history. Flight efficiency was increased: the number of scheduled air routes was increased, including international destinations, new socially important regional flights were opened, and the air ticket distribution network was expanded from the beginning of 2024.

Nurlan Muratuly Zhakupov was appointed as Chairman of the Management Board on a temporary basis.
