Operational results for 2021

QAZAQ AIR carried more than 570 thousand passengers in 2021. This result represents an increase of 32% compared to the number of passengers carried throughout the entire 2020.

9 254 flights were operated to 25 destinations within Kazakhstan and to Russia.

The target capacity of the new route network with the previously created interregional hub in the capital of Kazakhstan has been reached. Flight efficiency has been increased. Also launched international flights to Russia – Omsk, Novosibirsk and Kazan, which have become in demand among Kazakhstanis and Russians. At the end of December 2021, a new flight to Yekaterinburg was launched.

With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, subsidized flights were opened to Balkhash, Usharal, Karaganda, Petropavlovsk and Taldykorgan.

QAZAQ AIR launched its own certified Line maintenance station, which allows the development of local engineering staff. Also, all QAZAQ AIR aircraft have passed under Kazakhstani registration and have an updated aviation registration prefix – UP (state identification mark of aircraft of the Republic of Kazakhstan)

Successfully passed the 3rd operational safety audit of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for compliance with IOSA standards (IATA Operational Safety Audit). The validity of the certificate and the status of the airline’s IOSA operator have been extended until November 2022.

The air fleet of QAZAQ AIR is the youngest among the airlines of Kazakhstan and consists of modern comfortable turboprop liners De Havilland Dash-8-Q400NG (formerly known as Bombardier Q400). This aircraft has a number of advantages when operating at short distances. Its main advantages are efficiency, speed, flight range and passenger capacity.

In 2022, flights from Turkestan to Uralsk, Aktobe, Kostanay Ust-Kamenogorsk and Pavlodar have already been launched. Flight Atyrau – Uralsk has been resumed. QAZAQ AIR also continues to operate international flights to the Russian cities of Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Omsk and Novosibirsk.
