Today, at the capital’s airport, QAZAQ AIR celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The festive event brought together guests, partners, and passengers. Among the participants were Chairman of the Board of Directors of QAZAQ AIR Andrew Cohen, Acting Chairman of the Management Board A. Umraliev, and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev International Airport E. Kumisbayev.
For its passengers, the airline prepared a true celebration: a generous attraction of gifts, treats, unexpected surprises, and a raffle of 10 flight tickets. Partners also presented their own prizes, and the joyful, vibrant atmosphere once again underlined that QAZAQ AIR’s core values are its passengers and their safety.
Exactly ten years ago, QAZAQ AIR’s first flights took off into the skies of Kazakhstan. Today, the airline marks its anniversary as the country’s leading regional carrier — opening new routes for millions of passengers, connecting regions with one another, and making travel across Kazakhstan more accessible and comfortable.
Over the past decade, QAZAQ AIR has carried more than 4 million passengers and operated over 66,000 flights. In 2024 alone, nearly 601,000 travelers used the airline’s services — a record number in the company’s history.
The current route network covers 20 destinations — 17 domestic and 3 international. In 2025, the airline launched long-awaited flights to Samarkand from Astana, Kostanay, and Karaganda via Turkistan. Socially important subsidized flights to Turkistan, Zhezkazgan, and Petropavlovsk remain a vital part of the airline’s mission, providing thousands of regional residents with affordable air travel.
QAZAQ AIR has repeatedly earned international recognition: for three consecutive years, it has been ranked among the Top 3 Regional Airlines in Central Asia & CIS by Skytrax, while its IATA membership and successful IOSA audit reaffirm compliance with the highest global safety and quality standards.
Special focus is placed on staff training: the QAZAQ AIR Aviation Training Center has expanded its programs to ensure that every onboard crew meets the most rigorous international requirements.
The anniversary year also became a turning point with the strategic partnership announced in May with Vietjet and the launch of the Vietjet Qazaqstan brand. Under this project, the airline plans to modernize its fleet with 20 state-of-the-art Boeing 737 aircraft, expand its route network, introduce advanced digital solutions, and further enhance passenger comfort.
«Ten years ago, we were just beginning to write the history of QAZAQ AIR. Today, we proudly look back on our journey and confidently look ahead. Our anniversary is a celebration for passengers, partners, and our entire team. Ahead lie new routes, modern aircraft, and greater opportunities for the whole country,» — noted Acting Chairman of the Management Board A. Umraliev.
QAZAQ AIR’s anniversary became more than just a milestone date — it was a remarkable celebration that brought joy and unforgettable emotions to passengers, reaffirming once again that the airline’s greatest value is its people and their safety.
